About the artist
Cecilia exhibits and commissions work along the East Coast in unique venues and pop-up shows. Since 2013 she has curated her own an annual pop-up show called the "Barn Show". Recently she has been featuring other artists, fashion collectors, and jewelry artists to be a part of the show. Each show the visitors are able to connect with the artists and other people who love the arts and support small businesses.
Other forms of art involvement are through her painting demonstrations, donating to art auctions for charity, collaborating in mural projects, and instructing private "cork and canvas" classes.
Traveling and living abroad in Italy has been a big part of her life, education, and career. Beginning in 2012, Cecilia has studied “Orvieto and the Art History of Central Italy” in Orvieto, Italy. In 2016, she returned to Italy to complete The Lemon Tree House Art Residency Program in Siena, Italy. In 2018, she completed her MA in Museum Studies at the Lorenzo de Medici (LdM) - Marist College in Florence, Italy.
Post MA, she completed and defended her thesis entitled “Revitalized places of worship: Creative transformations for the benefit of local communities”. Cecilia also gained experience in museum management and exhibition planning. She was able to assist in curating “Conviti e banchetti L’arte di imbandire le mense” at The Stibbert Museum in Florence, Italy, and worked at the Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library in Wilmington, Delaware.
Currently, you can find her as the Experience Design Leader at Anthropologie in Reston, Virginia as she creates and curates all artists displays within the store.
